POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Chief Engagement Officer and consistent with the mission of Girls on the Run International, the Individual Giving Manager is responsible for designing, implementing and coordinating an organization-wide individual giving and stewardship strategy to ensure that we advance relationships and meet contributed income goals. This position includes research, strategy and reporting to cultivate and steward all donor levels and plays an integral role in growing a culture of philanthropy within the organization. Paramount to this position is the ability to work with a high degree of independence and to juggle various projects at once, while maintaining a clear view of how each project supports the organization’s mission.


PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet or exceed annual fundraising key performance indicators and contributed income goals.
  • Create and execute plans for donor acquisition across all donor levels. Work with Chief Engagement Officer to develop a range of impactful and engaging giving opportunities as part of the organization’s overall fundraising plan. This includes annual fund, monthly, mid-level and major giving programs.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Creative teams to create and deliver community-centric multi-channel (print, email, web, social media, phone) fundraising and donor communication campaigns, including donor solicitations, end-of-year giving campaigns, impact reports and more.
  • Make personal calls to cultivate, solicit and steward donors.
  • Develop and oversee donor stewardship strategies to increase donor retention and build deeper relationships with donors across all giving levels, including Family Foundations. Work with the Development Coordinator to ensure timely gift acknowledgements.
  • Analyze donor data in Salesforce, including tracking and reporting on acquisition, upgrade, and retention rates, and adapting future strategy, appeals and campaigns to ensure healthy growth. Ensure integrity of donor data.
  • Serve as the lead on an annual fundraising event, overseeing logistics and revenue generating activities, including creating budgets, securing and coordinating speakers and vendors, collaborating with Marketing & Communications on event promotion and Partnerships & Development team on sponsorships and managing day of event activities.
  • Provide individual giving support to councils, including the development of giving campaign toolkits and providing training and consultation.
  • Oversee the Peer-to-Peer fundraising strategy for the organization, providing resources and training to councils to increase council contributed revenue. Support and steward peer-to-peer fundraisers for GOTR HQ to generate revenue and increase fundraiser retention.
  • Maintain organizational updates on charity watch websites, ensuring accurate ranking, and corporate Matching Gift platforms.
  • Stay current on giving best practices and maximizes use of data and other resources to make strategic recommendations and implementations.

 

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a Girls on the Run role model, exhibiting GOTR core values and working to help achieve the mission.
  • Develop positive relationships with staff, council members, donors, and board members.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by Chief Engagement Officer

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three or more years of experience in fundraising, individual giving, annual fund, or donor relations.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects at a time and deliver within deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills with excellent follow-up and follow-through.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and leverage those relationships to cultivate additional opportunities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred.

 

This is an exempt, full-time position at 40 hours per week, offering a compensation range of $50,000 – $53,000 annually, depending on experience. This position is remote. The selected candidate must currently reside in or have immediate plans to relocate to one of the following states: California, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas.
